Year 4 have been getting their hands dirty (quite literally!) investigating the digestive system! 🧪🔬
Armed with biscuits, orange juice and a pair of tights, the children recreated the journey our food takes through the body, from the first bite to the final product… homemade poo! 💩😂
It was a brilliantly messy, hands-on way to explore the function of each part of the digestive system and understand what happens to our food as it travels through our bodies.
Who knew learning about digestion could be so much fun (and so disgusting!) 🤢🤣

📖✨ A little late, but too lovely not to share!
We celebrated National Poetry Day a couple of weeks ago, with children from Reception right through to Year 6 bringing some of our teachers’ favourite poems to life! 🎤📚
From wonderful words to expressive performances, our children showed just how much fun poetry can be when it’s shared aloud.

Our Year 3 children led a beautiful Celebration of the Word as part of our Harvest Stay and Pray week. 🍂🌾
It was lovely to welcome families and friends into school to join us in prayer, reflection and thanksgiving, reminding us of the importance of gratitude for all that God provides.
A special thank you to our Year 3 children for leading such a thoughtful celebration, and to everyone who joined us today. We’d also like to thank everyone who came along to Year 5’s Stay and Pray yesterday. It’s always lovely to share these special moments of prayer with our school community. 💙

With their first drafts complete, Year 4 have been putting on their editing hats! Working with their partners, they’ve been reading each other’s writing, sharing feedback and making thoughtful improvements.
We’re learning that great writing doesn’t happen in just one draft, and even the best authors need a little help from their editors! 🌟

Today, children from Year 1 to Year 6 joined thousands of others across the country for the @nationalliteracytrust #Take10ToRead World Record attempt! 🌍📖
Our classes tuned in to live webinars and came together to celebrate the joy of reading and the power of taking just 10 minutes out of our day to enjoy a good book.

We explored how reflection works and put our knowledge into practice by making our very own periscopes. 🪞📦
A fantastic afternoon of investigating, creating and discovering how light can be reflected! 🌟

Year 2 have been getting hands-on with their Science learning as they explored everyday materials and their properties. 🔍
Our young scientists investigated whether objects made from different materials could have their shapes changed by squashing, bending, twisting and stretching — lots of brilliant experimenting, observing and scientific thinking along the way! 🧠🙌
