Today, our Year 6 children walked out of St Mary’s Blackbrook for the very last time… surrounded by the applause, smiles and love of the staff who have had the privilege of watching them grow.
As they passed through our guard of honour, every clap was filled with pride for the remarkable young people they have become. They leave us carrying so much more than memories. They leave with a love of learning, a love of one another, a love of life itself and a love of God – the values that sit at the heart of our school family.
Whilst their journey at St Mary’s Blackbrook comes to an end, they will always be part of the Blackbrook family. We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them.

Yesterday, our incredible Year 6 children took to the stage for their leavers’ production, I’m an 11 Year Old… Get Me Out of Here! — and they absolutely smashed it! 🎭⭐
From the hilarious one-liners to the fantastic singing, acting and confidence on stage, every single child played their part brilliantly. They had the audience laughing, cheering and bursting with pride from start to finish.
A huge well done to our amazing Year 6s. You were sensational, and this is a performance that will be remembered for years to come. 💙✨

It was a special occasion to recognise just how much our youngest learners have grown in confidence, independence and curiosity throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and can’t wait to welcome them into Reception for the next exciting chapter of their journey.

Today was a beautiful reminder of what it means to be part of the St Mary’s Blackbrook family. As our youngest children begin their journey and our Year 6 pupils prepare for the next stage of theirs, we are reminded that we are all part of one school family, united in faith and as part of God’s family.
